George Shaw came to the states with his brother John in 1819. The next year John Shaws wife Hannah [Wheatcroft] Shaw and two sons John an Samuel came in 1820. John Shawjr born ca 1815 and brother Samuel born ca 1816. They lived in Providnce,R.I. till 1837 wen they came with wagon train to Bureau County,IL. Never heard another word about George. But Samuel Shaw married Ann Eliza Harrington on 28 Nov 1841. I can remember that because i got married on 28 Nov 1951.Any way i would love to find more Shaw family. Plus i have the Shaws done to 1700's. But it could be 1770's and they must have been Catholic because the first Shaw is Richardus Shaw. -----------------------------------------------------------

MORRISON. My mother was a MORISON and married a SHAW. But have only gotten back to Richard MORRISON who married Malinda Travers in Virginia. But they lived in Maryland, Tennesse then to Ogle County,IL. where they divorced. Malinda kept older children namely: Jesse Thomas and Abe. Richard kept two youngest boys John and am going to say Charles tho im unsure of his name. But none of his children were old enough to marry. Yet in 1850 cenus i find a 15 year old grand daughter living with him plus an older lady Margaret who maybe the15 year olds mother. Know hanky panky has beengoing on since day one. So who knows. Just lookinf for family. Viola.

There was a George Shaw that lived in the Geneseo, Henry Co, area. George Washington Shaw. He was a lawyer. Contact Angie Snook at the Geneseo Historical Museum in Geneseo @ 309-944-3043, she'll be able to give you the information. I don't know if it's the same man, but worth a try!??

KATMINDER. Hello. Hello and thank you. I contacted Angie she is very bubbley. At this time she is very busy but will get back to me in a couple weeks. Only one problem i can see that might take my mind is George has a middle name. My ggrandfatherSamuel son of John has no middle name. He said common people didnt get middle names. Just Royality did. I thank you so much. Viola.
