If you are interested in obtaining a copy of the book "David Glassburn, Virginia Pioneer" by Oma Glassburn Robinson, contact Quintin Publications, Inc., in Pawtucket, RI (Web site: www.quintinpublications.com scroll down to "Online Store" and select catagory "Out of print family genealogies", etc)
I recently purchased a copy from them and am pleased with the quality of the book.

My name is Paula Glassburn-Cardwell, I am going to purchase another copy of the book "Pioneer David Glassburn" for my daughter. I have the First Edition from Mrs. Robinson from the 1960's. I also have the bed that Pioneer David Glassburn made for his wife, and has been handed down to the youngest son for all these generations (Frederick)....I have set the bed up in a bedroom, and have bits and pieces of wills, purchase agreements..etc, that I collected from my vist to Covington. I do not have any pictures of David, or Frederick and I am told a few have survived...If anyone has a picture that they could send me, or e-mail to me I would be forever indepted...There seems to be a very strong sence of family with the Glassburns..I am proud to be among them. My e-mail address is anamcaraone@aol.com, and my phone number is 321-749-9889

Hello . I too am a Glassburn or rather married to one! I want to know if you could take a picture of david's wife bed and possible scan it for me, I think it would be great adition to my genealogy files. I alsocould share it with the Samuel Glassburn Reunion in Peru , Indiana. This next year will be our 81st i think. It's a small gathering, but none the less have big hearts.
This is my Hubby line. David Glassburn to Frederick to Samuel to Andrew to Frances to Allen to my hubby.
Thank you for any info you can help me and if possible the picture of the bed! :) Sassafras245

To Carter, If you are a decendant of Nancy Ellen Glassburn then we are distantly related. Her husband Geo. W. Q., of Putman Co. IN, was a brother of my ancestor Vardeman W. Q.
Geo. and Nancy married in Johnson Co., IN in 1843
I would like to compare notes with you. Am also in touch with a Zimri Stephens, Mary Q (d/o nancy and Geo.)decendant
Please contact me.
