I have a birth announcement for Lewis LaDue, born Jan 10, 1910 in Tampico. He was born to Nellie and Lewis LaDue. The postcard was mailed to Merle D Hunter in Drinkwater, Saskatchewan, Canada. Would love to send it to a descendent.
Thank you, Karen P Willis englrules@yahoo.com

I'm not aware of any LaDue's still in the area, but I will check and see. If there are none, we would be happy to include it in our archives. I will post back after I check around for descendants.

Thanks, Les. It would be awesome if we could find a descendant. If not, then it would be nice to have in our archives since there is much LaDue history in our area. If memory serves, I thought they were more in the Yorktown, Bureau Co. area, but I know of one of their farms that was on the border of Whiteside/Bureau Counties.
Thank you, Karen, for notifying us of this card. The 1910 census shows their new son's name as Howard, age 4 mo. in May, 1910. His mother's obit is on this website and he is still referenced as "Howard."

How interesting that his obit says Howard LaDue while his birth announcement says Lewis. But it's clearly the same man. Maybe Nellie was in an after-birth fog and wrote the name of her husband instead of her baby. :) Thank you all for your help. If no descendents turn up, I will donate this to the historical society.
