Denise, thank you for all the information so fast. Were you able to find if they were living in Tampico in 1886? We have not been able to find Walter before this time, and have been trying to find his parents for years. Thank you for your help. michael barton

Michael,
I can only determine that they were in Whiteside Co. at that time. I would need a residential directory for 1886 to determine if they were in Tampico in that year, since that is between census years. I do not have that year and I'm not aware of one.The marriage certificate may give their addresses. Do you have a copy of it? "How to obtain original marriage certificate instructions" can be found at
http://www.library.sos.state.il.us/departments/archives/marrcopy.html

Groom Bride Date Vol./Page License No. County

Perhaps Sterling Library would have an 1886 directory.
Sterling Public Library:
Jennifer Slaney, Director
102 West Third Street
Sterling, Illinois 61081

Or, you could get Beatrice's birth certificate, which should also give you the data you seek. For instructions, go to: http://www.vitalrec.com/il.html

Michael,
Let me check our archives and see if we have a copy of the 1886 Tampico Tornado Newspaper. Her birth announcement may be in it.

Denise,
Wow,thanks for the tips. The Illinois Regional Archives Depositories don't have records for Whiteside County,so I'll request copies from the County Clerk. I haven't tried the library yet. Thank you so much. michael
