According to the Biographical History, Illustrated, Bureau, Putnam, Marshall Counties 1896 history book, the parents of Washington Thomas were James Crawford Thomas and Independence Jane Armstrong. They lived in Steuben County N.Y. Does anyone have any information on James Crawford Thomas or Independence Jane Armstrong? I would like to know about I. Jane's parents and what happened to her after James C. Thomas was killed while working on a church steeple in N.Y. According to the history book, Washington Thomas was raised by his paternal step-grandparents. Who are they? Thank you
