I don't if we have a connection, but it all started with Adam & Eve McKenzie? I've traced my family back to Darvel, Loudoun Parish, Ayrshire, Scotland. My GGGFather was Peter S. McKenzie/McKinzie born about 1776? I don't know when he died ,but I think it was between 1827 - 1843? The S. may have mean Seiton or Sutton? He was a weaver by trade. My GGGmother was Elizabeth Wilson born about 1780? According to when she married my GGGF she was from Galston Parish on 1/31/1801. She died 10 Jul 1827 in Darvel. They had the following children: I think they were all born in Darvel. The Rev. Archibald Lawrie of the Newmilns Church of Scotland baptized some of the children. Janet(1) Born & baptized 2/28/1802. Died? Ann born & baptized 5/8/1803. She died 29 May 1838 as the widow of John Gemmal/Carter of Darvel. Thomas born & baptized 2/10/1805. Died 1888 in Lewis Co, MO. USA. Andrew(1) born 5/26/1807 & bapitzed 6/28/1807. Died? Janet(2) born 4/8/1801 & baptized 4/29/1810. Died 4/20/1827. Elizabeth born 12/31/1811 & baptized 1/26/1812. Died? Jean born born 7/27/1814 & baptized 9/4/1814. Died? Andrew(2) born 5/9/1821 & baptized 9/15/1821. Died? John(1) born & baptized 3/30/1823. Died 10/25/1824. GGF John(2) born & baptized 4/3/1825. Died 1882 in Lewis Co, Mo USA. My GGGFather Peter supposedly owned some burial ground in the Darvel Burring ground, but I can't find any records to confirm this or of any McKinzie's being buried there? I'm tryting to connect with other possible McKenzies in hopes of connecting in order to share info.
