The Pleasant Hill School was built on Great Grandfather Nicholas Lutyens land section 28 of Tampico Township. It was auctioned off with all the desks and equipment during the summer of 1950. The school house was torn down and carted off. The land reverted back to my Grandfather Levi Lutyens and now belongs to Gregory Forward. The school was one mile west of Tampico on Hanaman Road and one and 1/2 mile south on Coleta Road. The ground is overgrown and still has some of the original pines. There is a part of the cement steps still there but little else.
