Received the following email from M. Thorsen:

Hello! I have recently found my Grandfather’s sister who I have been unable to find before. Her name was Mary (May) Reed Eyster Kelley, daughter of Aaron and Susan Barden Reed. I found her death certificate listed with Rock Island County. It says she is buried in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Tampico. She died in East Moline State Hospital. Her second husband was Thomas Kelley of Tampico. We plan to come your direction this coming Thursday and I am wondering if you know where I would go to find any obituary for May or her husband, Thomas. What newspapers serve your area? I know this is not much notice, but would appreciate hearing from you with any guidance you can give me. We don’t get into that part of the state very often. We live in Dwight, Illinois. I plan to call St. Mary’s tomorrow to see if the church has records or where they are. She died 3-14-1940. Thanks. Marylin Thorsen

Not sure if we have TORNADO for Nov. 29, 1919 for marriage announcement. Maybe Les has copy. I will check the archives for "loose" copies. Our bound copies start in the 1920's.

UPDATE: All of the newspapers have been found! Now, if we can just find the headstones in the St. Mary's Cemetery!

It looks like I have the December 4, 1919 edition of The Tornado; however, I am traveling for the next month or more and I won't be able to get to my copies until the end of June at best. Please send me a reminder.
Thanks,
Les
