John Howard PIERCE was the 8th child & 6th son of John Lysander PIERCE( born 6 July, 1824 in New York) & Maryette HAKES( born 2 July, 1829 in Binghampton, Cortland Co., New York) who were married 15 May, 1848. The PIERCE family is in the 1870 & 1880 Whiteside Census'.All 3 are buried in Tampico Mem Cemetery. John Lysander PIERCE was a son of Judah & Fanny PIERCE. John Howard PIERCE married Kathleen TUTTLE in 1900 & they had 2 daughters & when they divorced, they each took a girl to raise. John( moved to North Dakota)& raised : Delpha Grace PIERCE born 1901 in Tampico, and Kathleen TUTTLE raised Marion C. PIERCE(born 1904 in Iowa). A son (Alvin - born 8 Dec 1851 )of John & Maryette PIERCE married Stella Mae McKENZIE in 1881, and a daughter(Emma Maryette born 11 Apr 1855) married Dr. Herbert M. McKENZIE in 21 Sep 1875. Another daughter of John & Maryette was Alta Laverne( born July, 1871 in Illinois) who married George JEPSON in Tampico on 27 Mar 1897.I would be interested in finding more about this family and where they lived & are buried. I have a photo of Maryette, and would like to find one of John Lysander PIERCE.Hello to All new Cousins!!
