His parents married in the Catholic Church at St. Emanuel's Catholic Church, Fulton, Whiteside Co., IL. It was church law that the children be reared as Catholics, why didn't Ronald practice that faith. Didn't he receive any of the Sacrements in the local Catholic Church. They would have those documents for he and his sibling Neil.

Dear Anonymous, Jack and Neil attended the St. Mary's Catholic church in Tampico. However, Nelle and Ronald attended the Christian Church here in Tampico, where Nelle was a Sunday School teacher.
Thank you for the census data. We have copies of the records on display at the Historical society musuem. The Ronald Reagan Birthplace (different organization and building) also has a wonderful, professionally compiled genealogy report on the Reagan family.
Lloyd & Amy McElhiney are the managers of the Birthplace, with much expertise on the Reagans. You may want to contact them for more in depth information. They can be reached at the Birthplace, Mon - Sat, 10am-4pm. Sunday's 1p-4p. 815-438-2130. Also see our "Contact Us" section of site for alternate phone numbers and address.
You can also find more in depth explanation in the book, Ronnie & Nancy. See web site: http://www.twbookmark.com/books/15/044653272X/chapter_excerpt19590.html
