The following is the wedding announcement of Alma Lundquist and Robert Darling that I transcribed from the 12/25/1903 Tampico Tornado: Les
WEDDED AT THE PARSONAGE Miss Alma LUNDQUIST and Robert DARLING Married At The Methodist Parsonage A quiet wedding occurred at the Methodist parsonage last week Thursday night at 8 o'clock in which Alma LUNDQUIST and Robert DARLING, both well known Tampico young people were united by Rev. BERNEUTER. The ceremony was witnessed by Miss Hilma LUNDQUIST, a sister of the bride and Oscar PETERSON. After the ceremony Mr. and Mrs. DARLING drove to the groom's parents home east of here where they will make their home at the present. The bride is the daughter of Peter LUNDQUIST, a farmer who resides east of here. She has resided in Tampico for several years who by her winning manner she has many friends. The groom is an aggressive young farmer, of good habits and excellent character is a son of W.L.DARLING who lives a mile east of Tampico.

Alma and Hilma Lundquist were my great aunts, my grandmother's older sisters. Alma and Rob Darling eventually moved to the Montevideo-Benson, Mn. area where they farmed and raised their children. Hilma eventually married Oscar Peterson, and they lived around Tampico. The Mildred Peterson who is in the pictures on the web site is their daughter. Peter Lundquist was my great-grandfather. He and his wife Hannah immigrated here from Sweden about 1888. I would be interested if there is any other mention of this family in the old newspapers.
